Guild Message
June 10, 2009 Hey guys, So I've got the reins here for a little while. Or is it reign? Thanks for the upgrade. I'll make sure any guild policy changes are made clear to everyone. Lunar did a great job building this guild, I don't expect to do anything that changes the philosophy or intention of her style.
We'll be pushing progression with Uld 25 raids on fridays and saturdays. Plan on Vault attempts for those nights as well so we can gear farm as much as possible.
The runed orbs are needed for the new Ulduar patterns and you need 6 at a time. I've been stocking them up in the bank. Since these will be good for gear improvements, once we have 6 we'll do some kind of roll off or lottery or something, under the expectation they will be used for gear, and not for selling in the AH. From what I can tell, we have one pattern so far for tailoring, a waist band. There's a forum for what people can make. If you happen to pug and get a pattern, add it to that forum so the guild knows. Its helpful.
Finally, we will be keeping Naxx25 on the raid schedule. We are considering either weeknights at 6:30 server, or Saturday and Sunday mornings around 11 server. Both have pros and cons, so send me an in-game mail if you have any thoughts. Decision will be made by the next reset on Tuesday. We want to keep this up so guildees can continue to improve gear and we don't get bottlenecked as we push through Ulduar and beyond, limited to who can come because of gear and raiding experience.

HaVoK's Raid Report
Raiding Update 6-21-09
Some changes to raiding situation I will inform you all about. Following in the steps of Lunar, we've changed some of the higher ranks.
Bloodknights - You are level 80 period. Gratz!! Now, get into heroics, figure out your class in forums, get your gear wish list together, and get experience raiding. See point 3 made by Zak below. Naxx10 and OS10 should be priority starting raids and you will find people during the week organizing them, not likely to be present on the calendar. Its also a trial time, if you pug, then represent the guild well.
Warmonger - Criteria for a warmonger is 2k gear score on wow heroes. Don't plan on being in Ulduar raids until you hit that mark. We look to fill in progression raid spots from this rank. We can get by with lower scores for Naxx25. Most likely this rank will be needed for Uld10 raids as we want you getting experience for the 25-mans.
Warlord - essentially, prove it! These are priority raiders after officers. You've shown us you're in it for the guild, you're great at your class, and you've had ample raiding experience. We ask you don't pug progression raids, and will most likely be asked to lead non-progression raids (OS, naxx, etc).
Make sure you read Zak's post below if you are new to the guild. Always send me an ingame or post in forums if you have questions.

Raiding Update 12-29-08 Greetings kids, The raiding season is upon us and I’d like to open a forum for discussion. HaVoK houses many with raid experience and it’s vital that we share our ideas and expectations with each other. The purpose of this forum will be to set a solid foundation for raiding that is fun, successful, and without drama. ALL members are encouraged to participate in this discussion…even Brisko. The founding members of HaVoK waited until the first expansion to become hopelessly addicted and start raiding. We had some very positive, and some very negative raiding experiences. These experiences, first and foremost, taught us that it is extremely difficult to have raiding success as a “casual” raiding guild…difficult, but not impossible. With that said, we would like to build on the positive, and avoid the negative. So, for those of you with any questions, comments, or concerns, voice your opinion…even you Brisko. The discussion begins in our "members only" forum, see you there. I’d like to end with some friendly reminders of those things that make your raid leader want to choke slam you :) 1 – For the love of all that’s good and holy in Northrend, get ventrillo…and a mic…BEFORE you get a raid invite. 2 – Be punctual. Invites go out 30 minutes prior to the scheduled event. Be logged on and ready to raid. There are very few of us that have nothing else to do in life but play WoW. We have jobs, school, kids, women to pimp, weed to smoke, spirit stones to consult, and beer to drink. Don’t make others wait on you. 3 – Blizzard is a business, rich beyond our imagining. They accomplish this by providing an enjoyable gaming experience for ALL of their customer’s. So, can you level a hunter to 80 without a pet or a ranged weapon? Yes, you can. Does that mean you are ready to raid? No, it does not. 10 million people play this game. At least 1 of them is more skilled than you, and they wrote about it so you can be better, RESEARCH your class…often. Learn what gear, rotations, macros, addons, keybinds, ect…that will make you better. 4 – You just hit 80…/g “DING”…followed by “w00t”, “grad”, “grats”, “w00000t”. So, your next decision is to roll a new alt, figuring that you will gear your new 80 on Naxx runs. Wrong decision. Find a pre-raid gear list for your class on-line (I use Lootrank.com) and farm that gear. I love leveling alts, but raiding requires a certain amount of dedication to one toon, so get raid ready with one before you level another. Asalamalakum zak

First, tonight's push includes a new selection under the "In Beta" area of the Control Panel, which allows you to provide your own custom HTML for the body of all pages on your site. Next, we've addressed some bugs that have been reported concerning the editor (sorry folks, looks like we were wrong about it being a cookies issue). Info sections have also had a bug fixed.

The new chat room is finally fully operational and we believe most of the quirky behavior some are seeing in the new editor control are related to old cookies. Try clearing those out (especially in FireFox -- grrr) and if you still have trouble, let us know via support ticket, please.

Lord of the Rings Online guilds will notice a few new features that went along with the editor push tonight. Namely, guild rosters now load directly from Turbine's servers, and the editor (when posting) has a "One Ring" icon that, when clicked, helps you add links to LOTRO-related goodies. The roster will load from Turbine's servers only if there is an exact match for your guild name and the server you selected when you started the guild. If either are incorrect, they can be modified in the Control Panel under Guild Name and Server. LOTRO Integration can be disabled/re-enabled in the Control Panel as well, under LOTRO Integration.

We will be deploying the latest version of the WYSIWYG editor later today. It will resolve issues with IE 8, and has a few neat things that we can do with it, moving forward. We are testing it in the latest versions of all browsers, and also ensuring compatibility with a version back, where feasible. For some browsers with rapid release schedules (like Firefox), please ensure you have auto-updates configured.

Also, for those not getting any results when using the GPHelper add-on for WoW when they type /gph update in-game, grab the latest from www.guildportal.com/GPHelper. Pushed this morning, it updates its version number to what WoW expects.

Enhancements going live this morning: around 40 new custom forum emoticons available for you to set in your Control Panel (under Custom Images : Emoticons). Also, clicking on an event from the monthly calendar view will take you directly to the event you selected, instead of displaying all events on that day. Of course, some probably liked seeing all of the events for the day, so what we've done to compensate was put a list of all events for that day to the right, above the two small selection calendars you see when viewing an event. It's got an animated opening -- you can't miss it. =)

Clicking the Edit button under an Alliances content type now loads the correct editor. In some cases, the Edit button under Image Gallery types wouldn't show up. Fixed.
