Hey guys, 

   Giving a shout out! Stopping by and saying hello! I wanted to see if any of you all would want to keep in touch more via facebook. Lutarian encouraged me strongly to check it out...(sounds better than nagged me to death :) lol..just kidding..kind of.  I joined it not long ago, I'm a bit amazed at how many ppl i've been able to keep in touch with, ppl i havent seen in years, it's kind of cool.  I enjoy it, if you want to look me up just search for Janet Mack :)

        Val was talking to me the other day and said he will be coming on WoW soon to wrap things up a bit and leave things nice and tidy.  I believe he's working out who to hand HaVoK too. Val's still planning on coming back for Cataclysm at some point to check it out.  

        They have come out with a "free trial" for AION if anyone is interested let me know.  The free trial is through a "refer a friend" service, which basically means i'd log into my ncsoft acct, click on refer a friend and they send you a trial account code via email.  The trial is limited in my opinion and isn't that great but if you just want to check it out in a very basic lvl you may like it.

Q: Are there any limitations on the Aion demo serial codes?

A: Yes, Aion demo accounts are good for three days, five hours, or level 7, whichever is reached first. At that point, the Aion demo account expires. All of the character information and progress is retained so that a player can continue the adventure when he or she upgrades to a standard Aion account. 

        The problem is lvl 7 takes no time to reach and five hours is easy to kill, you could reach higher then 7 in that period rather easy. The lvling between lvl's 1-20 is much faster than say 30+ and is more quest based. The other part is that the lvl's of 1-10 are a bit misleading in my opinion in that it looks and reads alot like world of warcraft. You're basically questing/exploring/learning basic game mechanics. You are one of 4 base classes and you're not able to really reach out to anyone since they've blocked ppl below lvl 10 from posting in chat channels and haven't given them the ability to use the mail or whispers. All the below lvl 10 limitations were to stop the kinah (gold) sellers. It worked but it's pretty lonely for the real player.

    I'm not sure what kind of free trial would've worked.  Overall it's a bit dissappointing that the trial is so limited, perhaps this is the norm? i'm not famaliar enough with free trials of other games to really compare it.  I wish ppl could get a better Idea of what the game about in general before buying it then finding out that it is indeed pvp oriented and not wow reskinned. This isn't really a glowing review of the free trial.lol..but w/e, I can love the game and still point out the flaws..it's legal :)  Anyways, if you're interested in doing a free trial let me know and i'll get you a code ;)
